Take a closer look at some of Romsdalen's most famous mountains, Mt Romsdalshorn, Mt Mannen and the Trollveggen massive. The drive up the valley is a beautiful journey between towering mountain peaks, and the crystal clear Rauma River next to. As you approach Bjorli, the scenery changes, and suddenly you are in a high mountain terrain. On our way back we will stop at Mt Mannen and Trollveggen, where you can step outside the bus and take pictures.
The mountain village Bjorli is situated at the border of Reinheimen National Park, 574 metres above sea. It stretches from Trollveggen in north and covers a huge area, including Romsdalen valley and the mountains south of Dombås. Reinheimen National Park is one of Norway’s newest national parks. It was established because of its rich animal life, and a growing need to take care of the wild animals' living conditions and flora. It is the home of the last habitats of wild reindeers in Europe. All five predators; lynx, wolverines, bears, wolves and eagles naturally belongs here. Bjorli attracts nature lovers and adventure seekers all year round. In autumn this is a popular area for hiking, fishing and hunting. In winter Bjorli is a popular ski resort, attracting ski enthusiasts from the whole region. Especially weekends can be busy, with many families having fun in the ski slopes, Bjorli ski resort offers slopes and parks with a great variety of difficulty levels. Bjorli is known for being the most snow-sure ski destionation in Norway.

Meet up: Inside Norwegian Mountaineering Center. The film starts at 11:00, so please meet up a little before that.
Bus departure after the film: Bus departs at 11.30 am, from Åndalsnes train station. This is only 20 meters to walk from the Norwegian Mountaineering Center, so you'll find the bus outside the building after the film is finished.
Rated: Easy – This is a tour for all ages, but there is no facilities for disabled. In Bjorli the ground is covered with snow in winter, and it can be difficult for people with limited mobility to move around.
Climate: It can be windy, minus degrees and snow from late October to the end of April. Coldest period is from December to March.
Remember to bring: Warm outdoor clothing, headwear and gloves. Warm shoes and wooly socks are recommended.

...take the ski lift to the top of the mountain, and return. This activity is not included in the price, and it is also weather dependent. When the ski lift opens varies from season to season. Normally in the end of November. When the ski slopes are open you can buy something to eat and drink in the cafeteria "T-kroken" at the bottom of the ski slopes. Why not taste the local speciality "Waffel with sour cream and jam."
