A great light-version of Romsdalseggen. This is a hike you can do with your whole family. Even younger children from 3 – 4 years old are able to hike up to this mountain. Smaller children can be carried in a child carrier. Estimated time from the parking spot to the top of Litlefjellet is about 20 – 30 minutes.
Start the hike in Vengedalen, 660 metres above sea level. The ascent is steep, but the path is well marked and some places secured by chains for better grip. The small ponds on top of Litlefjellet invite children to play.On top you are rewarded with a breathtaking view. Trollveggen is in front of you, and beside you the majestic Mt Romsdalshorn, and the Vengetindene are the wild pinacles behind you. If you look to north you can see Åndalsnes town and the fjord. The small ponds at top of Litlefjellet invites children to play.
"Never has a human achieved so much by putting so little efforts into it" The words belong to the famous mountaineer and philosopher Arne Næss senior on his visit to Litlefjellet.
