By plane:

Molde Airport Årø is located only 6 kilometres from the centre of Molde. The airport has daily direct flights from Oslo, Trondheim and Bergen. All flights are served with a connecting bus that stops at hotels and the bus terminal in Molde.

Kristiansund Airport Kvernberget is situated 8 kilometres from the centre of Kristiansund. There are several domestic and international flights to and from the airport every day. A bus connects the airport and central Kristiansund. (Gdansk-Molde) 

By road:

There are daily express buses to and from Trondheim, Bergen and Oslo. Local buses cover most of the region, and both Molde and Kristiansund have their own network of city buses. From Oslo: Follow the E6 northbound, and then Rv63 or E136 towards Åndalsnes.

From Trondheim: Take Fv680 along the coast to Nordmøre, via Kyrksæterøra and Aure, where you get scenic views of the coastal landscape. The E39 via Vinjefjorden and Halsa is a good option if you want to experience a piece of Nordmøre's diverse landscape. Take Fv65 via Rindal and Surnadal and follow Trollheimen and the Surna river, which is one of Norway's best salmon rivers.

From Bergen: Follow the E39 northbound to Vestnes. There are several exciting routes to choose from if you drive from Bergen, including the E39. Note that several of the routes include ferry connections.

By train:

There are daily trains from Oslo to Åndalsnes and from Trondheim to Oppdal. From Åndalsnes and Oppdal there are buses to Molde and Kristiansund. Experience the railway line Raumabanen with a guide during the summer season. See for more information.

By boat:

Hurtigruten calls at Molde and Kristiansund both northbound and southbound, 365 days a year. Visit for more information.

Ferries run on the fjords regularly during the days. You do not have to book in advance, but make sure you arrive in good time before departure to avoid long queues. This is especially important during high season in the summer and during festivals and other big events.

Sundbåten serves the different parts of Kristiansund.
